Change should occur with initial assessment of the organization structure. The organization structure must exist, it points to the path that an organization should travel towards, provide strength and bounds for the members of the team. Organization structure is the framework, and also the foundation for the coalition functioning (University of Kansas, 2016). The teams are built upon these elements. The organization structure is the hand book that informs the members of the team how the organization works. It also explains the process of decision making, how team members can contribute, and how leadership leads the teams. The organization that I work at is a top down organization. Leaders cannot exist without followers, and vice versa (Grossman & Valiga, 2013). Good leaders can work with followers towards the same outcomes and seek improvements. When changes occur, leaders must build a successfully relationship with the followers based upon honesty, competence, inspiration and vision. In order for changes to be successful, leaders and followers must reinforce each other. Leadership skills are not easily gained. In fact, leaders should be properly trained through formal training. According to Grossman & Valiga (2013), followers do not need to have formal training to be an effective follower but the skills are indeed learned. These steps give the organization the opportunities to assess the leaders and provide the proper education and training prior to change.
Changes occur when tension between stability and chaos is unbalanced, in another word, tension creates change (Grossman & Valiga, 2013). Good leaders acknowledge the need for the change, good followers see the need for change. Both leaders and followers must accept that change is necessary. Changes will begin to start at its core. The leaders and followers will examine the four elements: beliefs, values, attitudes and behaviors. This step is difficulty and often causes stress for a lot of
