A Closer Look into Christian Worldview
God is the creator of the world. In the Bible the book of Genesis says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). God is the Sovereign Creator of the world, (Lecture Notes 2, 2015). Without the Lord we would not have life itself.
God possesses more than attribute. God is goodness, kindness, faithfulness, compassion, justice, love, and holiness, (Lecture Notes 2, 2015). God has supreme authority and absolute power over all things. In the Bible the book of Psalm it refers to God being transcendent and that he is eternal, infinite, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, immutable and incomprehensible, (Psalm145). Humanity was created in the image of God and spirit beings like him which is discussed in Genesis 1: 26-27. “The Christian worldview has two major assertions about human nature. First humans are created in the image of God, (Genesis 1:26-28).” (Hiles, 2015). “The second is after the fall of Adam and Eve into sin, all humans are sinful by nature (Genesis 6:5; Romans 3:9-23)”, (Hiles, 2015). The solution to solving this problem is to confess our sins to God and ask for forgiveness and the Lord to come into our hearts and to save us so that when we die we go to Heaven and have everlasting life. “Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear,” (Isaiah 59:1-2). This means that there is never no sin that God will not take into consideration to forgive you for, you just have to ask for him to forgive you when you confess to committing it. “God is Light” (1 John 1:5). “This is significant for the discussion of confession,” (Simenon, 2014). God also wants us to forgive others just like he does for us and not hold grudges against other people. We are supposed to love one another just like it says in Ephesians 4: 32, “Forgive others as Christ forgave you.” Another verse in the Bible comes to mind and it is, “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that cruse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despite fully use you, and persecute you,” (Matthew 5:43-44). Faith and grace play an important role is Christian salvation because it is imperative to being positive and believing that Jesus will come back for the saved Christians one day to
