I have chosen the two religions of Christianity, and Islam. Little do people know these religions have a lot in common. For example, both believe that Jesus was a prophet the only difference when it comes to Islam the prophet they believe that Muhamad was the final prophet who recorded God’s word. Some of the Christian practices include, prayer, sacraments, worship in churches, reading their holy book the bible, and being a Good Samaritan. The practices of Islamic religion include, the five pillars: Testament that there is one God and Muhammad is his messenger (shahadah); prayer five times daily; fast during Ramadan; charity to the poor (zakat); pilgrimage (Hajj). Their holy book is the Quran. The differences in their practices include, their belief in god, while Christians believe in three manifestations of the same god, also known as the father, son, and the Holy Spirit. The father being god himself, the son being Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit is a manifestation of god. These three create the holy trinity. Christianity emerged in the Levant in the mid-1st century AD. The Islamic religion despite concerns about reliability of early sources, most historians believe that Islam originated in Mecca and Medina at the start of the 7th century. A century later, the Islamic empire extended from Iberia in the west to the Indus River in the east. The leader of the Christian religion was Jesus Christ he was also the head prophet. Jesus Christ had 12 disciples, and died in his thirties, he was crucified by the romans, and rose from the dead three days later (this is what the Christians believe). The leader of the Islamic religion was Muhammad the
