Civil Liberties vs Civil Rights We stereotypically imagine civil liberties as being restrictions on government authority, projected to ensure liberties that governments will not lawfully interrupt. Individual freedom must me balanced properly for example one person’s freedom should not clash with somebody else. Furthermore, American culture moves along with technology, people are compelled to new things around and when it comes to freedom civil liberty is the route. Civil rights are far reaching and critical arrangement of rights that are drawn to shield individuals from partial actions. They are the rights of every individual to receive equality in all the circumstances which includes business, education, shelter, food etc. If we dig into the history, Civil Rights referred to as rights of African Americans but now it is used for all individuals irrespective of sex, race, ethnicity, religion and many other things. Civil liberties differ from civil rights. In general, the idea of civil rights has spun around the crucial right to be free from inequality while civil liberties are more expansive rights and liberties are ensured at the government level by the law, for example, basic rights including the privilege …show more content…

If an individual’s civil liberties are violated he or she can go to the court and file a case but if the lower case rejects the case the supreme court takes the case. What if the protector of our freedoms are the violators of our civil liberties? If sources to be believed then most government officials are held responsible for violating civil liberties of the citizens of the country. In California, nearly 1 million people break traffic rules and drives crazily in the school zone. They drink packs of beer and drives in a heavy traffic breaking all the signal lights. And the crazy part of this news is that most of the time the rule breakers are our respected government
