Classical management theory and Behavioral management theory are two different theories of management. Classical theory mainly focuses on how to perform task efficiently and how the business goals achieved effectively. On the other hand behavioral management considers employees as assets.
Classical management:
Classical management is the management that has the purpose of increasing the productivity and find the best way to fulfil the task. To fulfil one company’s purpose this theory tries to control employees and give them proper training to make the job done. Result or outcome is the main goal of this theory not caring about the employee.

Taylor, Frank and Lillian Gilbreth, Henry Gantt played pioneer role to establish the concept of scientific management. The scientific method was considered to be more productive for a company. This theory is known as the ‘one best way’ for a job. Friedrich Taylor’s contribution to the scientific is the most than others, so he is known as the ‘Father’ of the scientific management. He was inspired from the result he achieved from “Bethlehem Steel Companies”. It was a revolution to the concern of productivity, workers and managers as well and the profit was remarkable. So he described the function of scientific management. This was considered a solution of the idleness of the employees and how a manager should control the employee to make the job done. Henry Fayol, LyndallUrwickare some of the influential names in administrative management. Henry Fayol is the most renowned person in this management process. He tried to use his experience to guide other managers. He realized to operate the function of a company a manager has to have the quality of planning, organizing, leading and controlling. These are actually the basic foundation of managerial process. Although these are very complicated term for a manager to perform.
Lyndal Urwick is another big contributor in the administrative process, who modified the scientific management process with Henry Fayol’s theory consist of planning, organizing, leading and controlling methods to make to create a system and supervise the flow of it to provide information to others to make more efficient output. Anyone can perform these functions can be administrative managers.
