As an environmental advocate, he promotes green living by encouraging the use of mass-transit and energy-efficient vehicles, as well as helping individuals see the benefits of installing roof top solar panels on their home. Helping individuals take meaningful and tangible steps to reduce their carbon foot print is his way of helping our community move the needle on environmental sustainability.

Mr. McGovern has a life-long history of giving back to the community – personally and professionally.

Mr. McGovern is a proud member of the LGBT community, advocating for LGBT equality in the workplace and in the community. With a thoughtful yet strategic leveraging of his personal and professional relationships, Mr. McGovern has continuously advocated for increasing awareness and support for the LGBT cause.

For 17 years, Mr. McGovern has supported the AIDS Services of Dallas (ASD), facilitating the delivery of monthly dinners for families afflicted with AIDS and/or living in ASD housing. He is a proud supporter of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), actively fundraising to support the annual Black Tie Dinner gala in Dallas.

Mr. McGovern is the single father to two wonderful kids, Dylan (13) and Kaitlyn (9). He adopted both children seven years ago from Child Protective services, due to parental abuse and neglect. Because of his heart-felt desire to provide a loving home for both children, Dillon and Kaitlin now have a sense of security and stability in an environment of
