One of my biggest roles I have played during my high school career was being a DECA Vice President. This position I took on Vice President of Communications. Being V.P. of Communication was something so special to me because the previous DECA officers felt that I would be one to fulfill the duties of V.P. of communications. The impact this made of my life was very heavy because I learned a lot and gained a deeper love for DECA. I have learned how to communicate with others more, manage time wisely, and plan accordingly.
I am thrilled to nominate Ms. Rodnesha Minor for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s Outstanding Student Teacher of the Year. Ms. Minor has shown to be true to the spirit of excellence offered by preservice educators prepared at NCA&T. Her tenacity and drive for excellence in teaching and learning set a high standard for other preservice teachers. I have watched Ms. Minor develop and grow over the past 10 weeks into a strong and independent educator. NCA&T should truly be proud of her accomplishments. Ms. Minor manages her time while working at Summerfield Elementary as a true professional.
I have led many club activities such as concession stands, volunteer services, and other community led activities. I have become a great leader to many of these kids as president of our school club, S-Club. I am in very good standing academically and known for my exceptional work ethic. I have matured with each of the trials and events I have encountered that have come my way during my senior year. The skills I have gained over the course of the year will help me towards my main career goal in mind, professional.
Through the National Student Leadership Conference, I will be marching out of my comfort zone and learning qualities that will aid me in becoming a better leader. In my school there are numerous leadership opportunities, from being class president, to being a house captain, to planning a school wide event.

The aim of the study is to investigate what type of leadership is most prevalent in collegiate flight training programs within the context of the Full Range Leadership Model (FRLM). Specifically, the purpose of this study is to identify commonality, or lack thereof, of the multiple leadership behaviors outlined in the theoretical framework. For example, transactional, transformational, passive/avoidant traits could all be found, but which type is dominant? While much research exists using this leadership model in a variety of organizational contexts, aviation and specifically collegiate flight training programs largely have been ignored by researchers. Therefore, this study is exploratory in nature meaning that there is no hypothesis to test.
