I am delighted to be a part of the Early Decision 2 pool as Fairfield University is the only college I want to attend. Ms. Stanton had said you are interested in the particulars of what about Fairfield appeals to me such that I know my former statement to be true. There is no question I want to be a member of the Dolan School of Business’ impressive Marketing major focused on product design and management with an Entrepreneurship minor. Participating in a dual-degree program, to major in the former and minor in the latter, will bolster my practical education and, hopefully, make me a valuable contributor to society in truly unique ways. Also, having improved my web coding at the Upperline School of Code, and worked twice a week at my parents’ company’s various retail and warehouse operations. My Fashion Institute of Technology network, begun as a sophomore, was put to good use this year in EF’s 3D Printing Club. FIT friends kindly offered useful critiques with design suggestions. I designed phone accessory products, prototype surveys and limited-edition sales trials to test product acceptances and price point sensitivity. This is a very real startup consideration given my parents’ multi-state retail outlets. The sacrifices? My grades. While I enjoyed my successes, it was clear that my education far outweighed playing into my future aspirations. My junior year I learned I was not a general “genius” despite significant academic improvements and a solid activity schedule. I simplified intricate efforts, past and present, in all of my subjects and stopped ignoring subjects for which I thought I had no penchant (i.e.: drama). I expect this type of knowledge will be a significant factor in my education at Fairfield, where I am looking for an introduction to a variety of challenging worlds. Frequently in Italy to visit family while exploring the country and its neighbors, we have in-depth discussions exploring international problem-solving methods to identify the “BIG problems” across borders, as well as develop personal action plans to make a difference in global emerging markets. International issues will be one of my focuses at Fairfield. Planning to create a business with my twin brother, I view courses such as MG 335 Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, MG 336 Social Entrepreneurship, MG 338 Managing a Family Business as great starts on how best to operate in a family work environment. I want to prevent the drama work tends to generate in families, along with avoidable disagreements and their
