Spread Your Wings and Fly The little caterpillar is crawling and munching, full of potential. Then the caterpillar traps itself into a silky shell where it transforms in order to spread it’s wings to reveal a beauty beyond comprehension. Much like this process, college is our transition where we build our experiences and succeed. To make this tremendous change, the college I attend must be a suitable match for my current and future needs. After much research and analysis, both Missouri State University and Savannah College of Art and Design would benefit me well because of their academic majors, convenient admissions, and captivating student life. Missouri State University will be a suitable choice because of their involved student activities and their captivating greek life. The student activities at MSU include a student-run campus newspaper, drama/theater group, student-run radio station, student-run television station, marching band, and choral groups ("MSU" Peterons.com). At my college I would like to be active in the student life to create connections and engage in opportunities I would normally pass up. Savannah College of Art and Design would also be a suitable choice because of their out of class clubs and organizations. A current student at SCAD says, “Savannah is centered in the downtown area, so there's lot's to do. From the main strip, to going out to the mall, to a day trip out to the beach, Savannah itself offers a lot to do. On top of that, SCAD hosts a number of city wide functions, such as the sidewalk arts festival and the film festival” ("SCAD" Cappex.com). College is the time to be adventurous and explore the world, so an energetic city is a swaying factor to my college decision. Savannah would be the perfect town to try new
