In this essay, I am going to discuss how Saint Louis is better than San Diego. The two Cities have their differences, For example: Saint Louis has 4 seasons; fall, spring, summer and winter, but San Diego does not. San Diego has one season, which is summer ( year –round). Saint Louis is centrally located in the Midwest; right smack in the middle of America. On the other-hand, San Diego is located in California on the far west coast of the United
Of the main universities in Kansas, the two most prevalent would be without a doubt the University of Kansas and Kansas State University. But some people can’t refrain from wondering, which is better? With colleges, there are many things to take into account when debating over which is superior, especially with such close rivals as the two brought up in this article. There are many differences in the realm of education and sports between these schools, but there are also many similarities. In terms of education, research shows that KU is likely greater than their rival university.
We all know the struggles of being a high school senior and having everyone ask you what you're going to do with the next years of your life. Most people will decide to begin looking at colleges. When trying to choose a college it is important to look at the similarities and differences in order to determine which school is the best fit for you. Two colleges you may be looking at are Muskingum University and Bowling Green State University. You will want to look at the similarities and differences of on- campus living, and academic programs.
Indigenous people have been captivating the imagination of Western society since the Colonists first landed in Plymouth, Massachusetts on the Mayflower in 1620. Over the past fifty years, universities have started to cultivate Indigenous Studies Programs in an attempt to reestablish Native history and presence in today’s Western society. Arizona State University, located in Tempe, Arizona and Dartmouth College of Hanover, New Hampshire both offer Bachelor Degrees for students wishing to be educated in the arenas of Indigenous Studies. Although there are resemblances between the establishments, there are also differences relating to their concentrations and curricula. Arizona State University first started to develop its program in 1969 with the start of the American
In the Ivy League school you are around a lot of smart people and sometime that might discourage you. A lot of students in Ivy League school who study science tend to drop out and pursue arts. Students in regular colleges tend to stick to their degreed
Chapter 4 is much similar to the previous chapters as it begins by narrating the schooling differences between upper and lower class children. This chapter discusses three students who have different experiences due to social class. These students are going to two different schools, Troy High School and Santa Ana High School. These two schools greatly differ as Troy is top-ranked high school nationally, as it offers many Advanced Placement classes, science and technology program, and at least 99 percent of the students continue their schooling in college. While Santa Ana High School is a lower ranked school as the location is in a very poor and dangerous neighborhood that includes people that are into drugs, crime, and violence, and academics
Everyone must decide what to do after high school. I have decided that college is the route I am taking. I have done a lot of research on colleges. I can confidently say I prefer the University of Iowa to Morningside College because Iowa is less expensive, has more students, and more activities to do.
Being just over 30 miles apart, most would think Colorado State University-Fort Collins and the University of Northern Colorado would have much in common. Both universities are four-year public institutions located in similar sized cities. Any outsider would think the two universities are very comparable. However, this is not the case at all. The two institutions differ drastically in cost, student body, and academic excellence.
Both Stanford and Penn State didn’t have as many requirements for a Bachelor’s degree as I expected. Of course, I predicted that Stanford would have more requirements than Penn State, and this rang true. I like the simplistic ideas of just maintaining grades at Penn State, but I also like the challenge at Stanford. I am certainly one to challenge myself but there comes a time when I have to question whether it’s too much for me to handle. I don't want to bite off more than I can chew.
College, it’s something that everyone starts talking to you about and probably wants you get into middle school. Like “what do you want to study” or “What do you want to be when you get done with it” something along the lines of that. But in all seriousness college is a big impact of your life, and some people don’t have to ability to go so to be able to that. The two colleges that i recommend are Florida State University (FSU) it is located on 600 W. College Avenue, Tallahassee, FL 32306 and the main phone number is (850) 644-2525 their website is www.fsu.edu. Also University of Chicago (UCHI) it is located in Chicago, IL 60637 and to contact them (773) 702-1234, their website is www.uchicago.edu.
I was originally drawn to Evergreen because of the interdisciplinary nature of the courses of study and the community involvement opportunities that are offered, and while I was able to enjoy those aspects of my courses I was challenged by the lack of structure in certain areas of the courses I participated in. I believe that it takes a certain type of student to thrive in a less structured environment and that someday I may be better adjusted for that style of learning, but at the moment I believe a more structured learning environment is best for achieving my academic goals. I see California Lutheran University as a place that offers interdisciplinary and community opportunities along with a more structured learning environment which is why I see CLU as a great fit for my pursuit of higher education and my career goals. Additionally, many of the courses in my desired path at Evergreen were still only being offered online and I struggled to stay engaged in learning during zoom meetings and online only coursework.
I love my morning commute that allows me to see construction workers fixing the steel piping against the backdrop of the blue sky. Although I prefer American River College due to its interesting architecture and landscaping I can admit that I am enjoying attending classes at the Sacramento City College due my comfortable
Austin State University. Several factors have played a role in my decision, but the main one is the high quality of all the programs at SFA and the Rusche College of Business. Knowing that the Rusche College of Business is accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, gives me the security that I will be receiving a high-quality preparation for my future career. Additionally, I am eager to participate in the internships offered by SFA, which will allow me to put in practice what I learn in my classes and acquire experiences that will be beneficial for me in a future when I apply for a job after I graduate from
These reasons together make St. Thomas one of my preferred institutions to
