From a wide array of experiences and opportunities in my life, I have solidified my belief that studying a course in physics or natural sciences (with a focus on physical sciences) is the ideal direction to accomplish my goals of becoming a successful physicist. Experiences ranging from a science related summer school to discussions with a teacher who worked on a nuclear powered aircraft carrier have all pushed me to the realization that I am passionately committed to physics. I also believe my rigorous academic record proves that I would be successful in studying this course at the university level.

For instance, I took AP Physics 2 online and also learned some linear algebra through MIT's OpenCourseWare. I found that through each of these courses, I learned in addition to the academics, skills transferable to many outside school situations. In my AP physics and calculus courses, I gained the ability to logically solve complex problems. While in AP statistics, I gained insight into the means of extracting valuable information from various types of data. Outside of my academic work, I learned, about physics through my interest in science podcasts such as Radiolab.
