All Work No Pay NCAA makes 100’s of millions of dollars and none of that money goes to the heart of the program. Players go into a lot of debt after college since they don't have way to get money during college. The amount of money the NCAA brings in every year is to much not to help with players. Theres many reasons players should benefit from their efforts to bring in money to their school and the NCAA. players efforts for their school players should receive a wage due to their on and off field actions. There's so many ways to reward college athletes, but finding a way to pay them will take a long time to perfect as it will cause problems. In the first place Athletes spend 30-40 hours a week on their sports which is mentally and physically fatiguing (Steinberg). Many college athletes have stated that they’re basically slaves to the NCAA with no rights in what they do (Slaves of Sports). Players aren't given anything beyond scholarships and aid and and rack in millions of dollars and heart of the business. First of all NCAA takes in about 800 million and that's not including all the theam sponsors and side deals(Steinberg). Head Coaches through all of NCAA make a significant amount for there players who aren't getting paid. Coaches make an average of 1.64 million(USA today) and if there pay reduces it would make for easier pay. merchandise sold make millions for each team in the NCAA and this should generate enough money for players to get paid as 2,500,000,000 is made in merchandising alone(Slaves of Labor). The NCAA makes too much money too not give players
