2. Why MSOR program?

I started to research on the different graduate program when I was still obtaining my undergrad degree. I wanted to expand my knowledge and skill set and pursue a graduate that is necessary for my future career. I’ve realized businesses and organizations must make complex decisions daily. If I am able to learn and understand real-world problems and use analytical techniques to attack the complex optimization problem, then I will be an asset in almost any organization. Therefore, I have decided to pursue the Master of Science in Operation Research concentrate in Business Analytics.

Any course in MSOR you are interested in?

My area of concentration will be in Business Analytics. The first course I am interested in is IEORE4650, Business Analytics. The second course I am interested in is DROMB9122. Computing for Business Research. Both of the courses is valuable to be me because I want to be able to run my own company in the near future and learning the information from both the course will contribute to that greatly.

7. How to fund your graduate study?

Before coming to America, I was a private tutor in high school for middle and high school students. After graduating from high school, I was employed at a tutoring company for about two years and was able to save up on tuition. Part of my tuition will come directly from my parents, and the other half I will be tutoring other students on campus. Also, if a tutoring company will sponsor me then I will work at the company to help fund my graduate study.

8. Likelihood to go to Columbia if admitted?

This question without a doubt, if I am admitted, I am for sure will go to Columbia University. It is my dream to attend one of the top universities in the United States.

9. What do you want to learn about this
