I believe the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Science, and the Arts is the right place to continue my studies, because I love how the classes are based on the U of A academic system and that ASMSA offers an opportunity to obtain advanced college level knowledge before high school graduation. That being said, ASMSA still has a college life atmosphere which I think prepares the students to be more adjusted to what real college will be like. I am a 27-year-old mother and fiancé. My goal is to complete my science prerequisite classes with 4.0’s so that I can apply to the Physician Assistant program at Western Michigan University. I graduated in 2015 with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice from WMU and I am currently working as a Medical Assistant. I have a son named Lorenzo, his first birthday is a couple hours away! The only kind of touching incorporated in The Hustle was the partners holding hands for the majority of the dance. As The Hustle became more popular, the dance became more rotational, meaning the steps were repeated to complete a circle. The dance was relaxed, yet sexy, due to its flirtatious characteristics. The Hustle involved an abundance of hip movement, which contributed to its flirty nature. Additionally, this dance heavily involved a back-and-forth motion, which was a flirtatious movement because each dancer would continuously move closer and farther apart, but their bodies would never touch.
ASMSA is the right place for me. If I am invited to attend ASMSA, I will be living, studying, and working with students from across Arkansas with different backgrounds that have interests and hobbies similar to my own. I will be taking accelerated courses provided by outstanding teachers at one of the nation’s top schools, and many of these courses align perfectly with my interests and career prospects. I will also have a new community of learning that I will be able to contribute to in multiple ways. The first reason ASMSA is the place for me to live, study, and work at is the community and environment.
I want to become a professional in the Public Health field mainly to inform, educate, and help the community help themselves in this new world where diseases and health crisis are on the rise. I always felt as though this field chose me. At the age of fifteen, I was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Ten years ago, there weren't many types of research or information to help inform people living with this chronic illness. No help on how to keep the body functioning at an optimum level or how to help with the inflammation lurking throughout without only medication.
I want to be a physician because I want people to grow old. At the age of 6, one of my closest friends was diagnosed with leukemia. By age 8, the disease claimed his life, robbing him of the opportunity to experience the privilege of growing old. Unfortunately, we live in a society of vanity. We see the process of aging and choose not to embrace it.
My first experience with the healthcare field was not as a sophomore in high school, I was preparing to add classes to my schedule for the following year and a friend recommended that I take the CNA course at the Jordan Applied Technology Center (JATC). I decided to apply, and the spring semester of my junior year, I was in the program. My professor was very kind and emphasized how working in the healthcare field is different from every other career path because our purpose is to help others. Therefore, as I studied to become a nursing assistant, I was able to realize that I enjoyed devoting my life to serving those around me. That was when I had my first experience with healthcare and when I decided, I wanted to become a healthcare professional.

They know the importance of knowing how to read the non-verbal messages patients make and respond to the needs they express. These include gestures and facial expressions (Bonewit-West, K. 2009). Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to make a difference and help anyone in need that I possibly could. From the start of my childhood, I can recall helping my mother care for my great grandparents, so they would be able to live out the rest of their lives from their home, instead of in a nursing home. As a young child it was extremely difficult to live with and watch my loved ones deteriorate as they got older, as their condition got worse and worse, and saw my mother having a difficult time keeping up with caring for both of my great grandparents 24/7, it put a lot of stress on the family.
