Sam was 16 and just got home from a car dealership, he asked his dad if he could go out for a test drive. So they both got into the car and Sam started to drive; they hit their first red light, as soon as it turned green, Sam thought it would be fun to go as fast as he could. Well after that it didn’t really turn out so well, Sam caused him and his father get into a car accident, sadly they both died from bruising and internal bleeding. Sam was only 16 and he was careless, he caused the lives over three people that day because of his reckless driving. In source one on page 247, it states “Raise the driving age. That radical idea is gaining momentum in the fight to save the lives of teenage drivers”. I agree with this statement. Sixteen year olds really shouldn’t be driving because I feel that they need a little bit more time so that they can gain the confidence, knowledge, and the safety of driving.
