Although both California and Colorado have some common attributes; the unique weather and landforms of each state is what jumps out as the special deciding factor for many residents. Many residents from each state would rave about the reasons why either California or Colorado is the better place to live. But both states offer diverse areas to live-through the populated city life or the less populated country life. The populous cities offer jobs, shops, and plenty of things to do. Whereas the rural landscapes offer farming, ranching, and the countryside activities.
The biggest difference in the two climates is the average temperatures, precipitation, and the humidity levels. But outside of the factors the climates are relatively the same, both not getting much rain but San Diego gets more out of the two, Phoenix having the higher Average temperature, and San diego being more humid due to it’s access to a beach. with lower humidity in Phx, the temperature swing is much larger than an area next to an ocean it cools very quickly and is usually cool for after sunset and first thing in the morning, but direct sun areas can be warm feeling when a nearby shady area is cool. Senior Research Paper College is such an important decision in so many people’s lives, however when talking about furthering my education, two places come to mind. Oral Roberts University and Oklahoma State University, in my opinion are a duo, in having a significant meaning, beautiful campuses, and a bundle of student population. Comparing the tuition, scholarships, and room/board, all of these decisions in which all have meaning to my decision of where to further my education and what makes my decision difficult. However, both of these two universities are highly traditional with it being Oral Roberts with the praying hands or Oklahoma State with the unfortunate tragedy that occurred on October 24, 2015. These significant occurrences and symbols all have meaning behind the university itself.
Indigenous people have been captivating the imagination of Western society since the Colonists first landed in Plymouth, Massachusetts on the Mayflower in 1620. Over the past fifty years, universities have started to cultivate Indigenous Studies Programs in an attempt to reestablish Native history and presence in today’s Western society. Arizona State University, located in Tempe, Arizona and Dartmouth College of Hanover, New Hampshire both offer Bachelor Degrees for students wishing to be educated in the arenas of Indigenous Studies. Although there are resemblances between the establishments, there are also differences relating to their concentrations and curricula. Arizona State University first started to develop its program in 1969 with the start of the American
Living in the country and living in the city are unique in many ways but are the same in others. There are many cities in Arizona such as Gilbert and Phoenix, which are similar in weather and temperature but are different in types of business. They have similarities in clothing choices, forms of communication, and places to hang out. Although the two cities are in the same state the cost of living over all is different.

My commitment to Millsaps University community engagement extends beyond just being in a school environment. I have done volunteer work at a church, did a cancer walk, gave food out to the homeless, read to elementary kids, and also in the gentlemens club. Millsaps University's emphasis on community engagement is my values, and I am very happy to contribute to the university's culture of service. I have family out in Mississippi that may give back to the community or even to the school. Through meaningful engagement, I aspire to not only enrich my own experience, but also positively impact the local and global communities connected to Millsaps.
My geographic narrative isn’t your typical Texas A&M student story, 2 years ago I moved to College Station from my home in Salinas, California but once you read my story you’ll realize that move isn’t as random as it seems. My mom grew up in San Antonio Texas, but lived in several different places in her younger years because her father was an Air Force Kernel. She attended Texas A&M University in College Station and was a part of the graduating class of 1980. After college my mom moved by herself to Los Angeles, California and after a couple years met my father there. My dad is a third generation Californian, with his grandparents settling by the Sacramento River in northern California and his father and mother settling in Los Angles where
Q&A: Cassandra Kamp on Northern Illinois University NIU student, Cassandra Kamp talks to Jack Hueckstaedt about her time at the University and how the campus provides a better learning environment. Written By Jack Hueckstaedt December 3, 2017 Most factual information about Northern Illinois University can be easily accessed on their website, but some information such as students’ opinions on the campus environment, and the quality of courses that can be taken in the college is a little more harder to find. To acquire this info, I decided to interview one of the school’s students myself. So on the 3rd of December, I produced an interview with, Cassandra Kamp, an alumni of South Elgin High School, who has been attending NIU for a few months
Everyone must decide what to do after high school. I have decided that college is the route I am taking. I have done a lot of research on colleges. I can confidently say I prefer the University of Iowa to Morningside College because Iowa is less expensive, has more students, and more activities to do.
College, it’s something that everyone starts talking to you about and probably wants you get into middle school. Like “what do you want to study” or “What do you want to be when you get done with it” something along the lines of that. But in all seriousness college is a big impact of your life, and some people don’t have to ability to go so to be able to that. The two colleges that i recommend are Florida State University (FSU) it is located on 600 W. College Avenue, Tallahassee, FL 32306 and the main phone number is (850) 644-2525 their website is www.fsu.edu. Also University of Chicago (UCHI) it is located in Chicago, IL 60637 and to contact them (773) 702-1234, their website is www.uchicago.edu.
My appreciation for the state kindled a great desire: to implant the seeds of my future into its enriched land. As it was my first time in California, all I desired was to explore the depths of every corner in the state: so I did. As a sign came along spelling the words “The University of Redlands,” I
Once I decided that I would be doing my Field Research in the cafeteria, I then knew I wanted to observe the location sometime in the morning. Mornings are the start of the day for people, so I wanted to see how one’s would conform to norms by society of the Mars Hill students, faculty, and community. I observed a total
A city is a good place to continue the further education and to find a suitable job. A city can provide government facilities to its people which makes easy to sustain the life and to perform the task. In addition, the city may be regarded as a relatively permanent concentration of population, together with its diverse habitations, social arrangements, and supporting activities. Cities might differ in cultural aspects and from other types of human settlement and association. Today I am comparing and contrasting my hometown, Kathmandu and the city I am living in, Colorado.
