As I look into my future as a senior in high school, I am looking into an entirely different lifestyle. At this point of my life, I have new friends, new experiences, and I am at the peak of the excitement as a young adult. However, what I do not know is what University I will be attending to come upon this new and exciting part of my life. The two universities that I have chosen to evaluate to prepare for my attendance in the fall of 2016 are Oral Roberts University and Oklahoma Wesleyan University. According to collegefactual.com under their section about Oral Roberts University As of February of 2013, ORU was “ranked #288 in ethnic diversity nationwide, with a student body composition that is far above the national average.” I can only imagine how much more diverse this prestigious university has grown throughout these couple of years. However, it is your choice whether or not you decide to use these tools.” All of these tools would be inevitably useful when it comes to not being put onto academic probation. On www.oru.edu.com/academics, it states “Students are placed on probation if they fail to complete at least 75% of the hours attempted for the previous two semesters.” On this same website it briefly mentions that if a student is placed on probation then they may be temporarily out of sports in addition to the possibility of losing their scholarship. At Oklahoma Wesleyan University, as stated on their webpage marked under ‘academics’, “Students on academic probation are required to develop accountability and monitoring plans during the first week of classes. These students will meet with the Director of Student Academic Services to complete a probation contract. This contract will include at minimum 4 hours a week of monitored study in the SAS for students taking 12
