We must learn to investigate ourselves before we can truly understand others. One way to do this is by utilizing the two theories of Jung and Gardner. In the following paragraphs, I will not only introduce you to their theories but proceed to explain the results of my test. I will share the data collected from my results as well as those of my husband and cousin. I will show how the knowledge is almost necessary for educational, social and personal growth.
The first theory comes from Jung. His theory simply states that people can be accessed by how they perform in three areas of their life; general attitude, preference of perception and function of judging. (humanmetrics 2017). Jung believes that only one of these areas will dominate. His theory has four main areas which can be put into sixteen different combinations all depending on how you reply to the questions on his test. As for Gardner, he saw things a little different. I asked my husband for nearly ten years and my cousin to allow me to test and record their information. Though honestly, I could tell they were a little apprehensive they sat for the test. My husband Bradley was my first victim, and he scored the letters ESTP with Perceiving being his most dominant trait at seventeen percent. According to his results, his top three strengths are thrill seeking, driven, and improvising. This result pretty much hit him on the head. My cousin Danny was next for the hot seat, and he received ISTP with perceiving being his dominant trait at thirty percent. His results showed that his strengths were empathy, intuitive and impulsive. Now I cannot say that I know him a hundred percent, I can attest that he and my husband are all about impulsive
