I truly enjoyed and gain experienced while interviewing professionals Tatianna Hitchcock and Preston Pace III of the University of South Florida Athletics department. During the interview, I discovered various aspects of their daily lives that I can utilize to deal with the obstacle that may come in my path. Gathering answers from both professions and comparing them I notice that quite a few jobs and professions are very similar and have much in common. The first thing to do before applying for a job or career, is to ask yourself this question? “Do I enjoy doing what I signing up for”? There are several books, articles, and or blogs about people making lots of money doing something they dislike and ending up quitting because their heart is not in it. Money is a large determining factor in choosing a job or career, however, it should not determine what your passion is. I asked Coach Pace and advisor Hitchcock the first question “Why does this field of work interest you and how did you get started”? Both of their expressions were the same which was to smile and laugh because both love their jobs. This made me smile it was so refreshing and nice to see that they were proud of how the job has had a huge impact on the youth and young adults. Having an impact on a youth or young adult is essential for my career goals as well.
