Traditional education has established many teaching principles, ideas and learning approaches. These former educational practices give as an in-depth orientation of what literacy should be. As being viewed from the traditional learning method, Bolstad, Gilbert, McDowall, Bull, Boyd and Hopkins (2012) cited that:
a. ideas basically originated from the experts and were only transmitted to the learners like teachers narrates to students
b. educational facilities should ensure transmission of knowledge to students who should deeply captivate this knowledge which will be productively use after completion of a degree

According to Bolstad (2012), the first development is the awareness and understanding the significance of how people will learn, however, the present education is not organized and is not well-suitable to the demands of the current trend. In this relation, there is a sense of uncertainty whether to continue to improve the present education services with the purpose of making the young generation equip for life and work endeavor in the 21st century. Further, the second development is that the existence of a shift in the manner that knowledge is delivered and employed in the day-to-day living.

Twenty-first century education perspective recommends that the old ideas on quality of the knowledge needed by students essentially require advancement. The present era demand the education to adopt a much more multifarious insight of knowledge, one that includes being, doing and knowing. With this viewpoint, we have to reconsider our ideas on the manner of circumstances which school learning can give support to students to be literate in these new learning strategies. According to Thoughtful Learning Team (2016), the skills to be developed in the 21st generation are greatly essential for students as they engage with the real world. When learners graduated from a course, they will eventually seek for an employment. The main skills are knowledge in trade, directions oriented, workplace interaction, diligence and professionalism by being honest, prompt, efficient, and fair.
