The Criminal Justice Field is multifaceted and it includes a wide range of components the two most unknown are the differences between criminologists and criminalists. Many may not know that criminalistics deals with the science behind the crime for example the physical evidence, blood evidence and chemistry and biology in other word this is called forensic science. While Criminology study’s the science of criminal behavior, crime, criminals and corrections they are also known as social scientists that concentrate on the laws of criminal justice. The Criminalistics aspect is also used in the private sector they help in cases where police can’t help and where individuals and family members who are not convinced of law enforcement conclusions of a case. The Criminology aspect is also used in the private sector they help businesses and individuals understand the social problems that highlights today’s society. This helps the businesses and individuals prevent crime form happening in their work space. If I was a criminalist in the private sector the job i will want to go in to the is security consultants. The reason i will like to go in to this job field is because I will help consult financial services and business on how to reduce their security hazards. When it comes to the public side of this aspect the reason I will like this job field is because I will help the families of the victim understand why the crime was done.
