INTRODUCTION:
In childhood, I noticed that I am quite sociable person and can find friends easily. This attitude and social behavior eventually led to easy success in gaining new friends and overcoming any struggles related to the public audience. Not surprisingly, I have found myself comfortable in working as customer support representative. My first experience started with Macy’s as a Guest Service Specialist and Sales Manager in Minneapolis, MN, and lasted for three years from December 2004 to November 2007. There, I handled incoming calls from our customers who wished to place orders from the catalogs. I responded to inquiries and resolved customer concerns, if there were any. People of this style are capable of looking at things from different perspectives, and they are more sensitive than others. Indeed, I prefer to observe first rather than do from the very beginning. I need to collect information and later apply imagination to solve problems such as customer complaints. Kolb says this type or person is the best at viewing specific situations from various standpoints and are called “diverging” due to the ability to perform better in idea-generation cases. I am curious about people and can be imaginative and emotional. My learning style reveals that I enjoy working in groups and listening with an open mind while receiving individual feedback. Eventually, I will discuss my personal experience and a course match throughout this essay. While some of the questions require some in depth understanding of the terminology and customer service industry, all the questions are indeed reflective and will help to understand both my personality and fit
