The Declaration of Independence is the most important and oldest document in the United State’s History. It is extremely important because it states that all individuals have inalienable rights such as life, liberty, and happiness.This document is so important because it gives people the right to abolish the government and institute a new one to meet those rights and their happiness.The opening statement of the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence is very powerful and summarizes what the colonist wanted as one nation, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness". …show more content…
This document was made from the struggles of people who wanted to pursue their own ideas and thats why its so important. The Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions is one of America's most important documents advocating women's rights.This document is so important because it pushed for more rights and opportunities for women. Elizabeth wanted to show people the reality of what was really going on and what she was demanding. At the time of this document, gender inequality was a well known issue that had existed in all countries around the world. For instance, in the past, women did not have the right to get an education and occupation, to take part in public and economic events, or to own property. During this time women were very limited as to what they could and couldn't do. This document was making an attempt to change that. There are many ways that she makes her point in this document. That being that woman work as hard as men to support themselves and others and should be treated equally.
