The definition of beauty can be interpreted in many different ways. One might find the personality of someone truly beautiful; another will base beauty solely on looks alone without a second thought. Then, there are some who find objects or scenery absolutely beautiful. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines beauty in various different ways: “the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit; loveliness”, “a beautiful person or thing”, “a particularly graceful, ornamental, or excellent quality”, and “a brilliant, extreme, or egregious example or instance”. As one can tell, there is no real elucidation of beauty due there being an assortment of definitions to the word. Beauty can create stress for individuals to look a certain way, can mold a person into who he or she is, and can create a sense of tranquility when a person acknowledges what is beautiful to them.
