When thinking about diversity most people tend to think about race, culture, and ethnicity. While a person’s racial, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds are all forms of diversity, they are by no means the only forms of diversity. Growing up in a small family in a small neighborhood has kept me isolated from different thoughts and ideas. Being exposed to other people’s ideas and backgrounds helps you to appreciate other people's point of view and appreciate the backgrounds you came from and helps you to decide where you want to be in the future.
