Love. The universal way to express the way you feel about another thing. Love. The thing a girl thought she felt in 3rd grade when that really cute boy talked to her at recess. Love has changed gradually over the years… but some parts of it will never change. Movies, media, and TV shows have all displayed love in different time periods. The value isn’t the same as it was forty or even thirty years ago. Dates are a simple thing that people go on when they might be interested in one another. Dates these days aren’t really the same as they were though. Love used to be so cute, and delicate, and sweet…. But now it’s judged, and artificial. Generations have modified the real meaning of love. Love is a powerful thing, that shouldn’t be abused or taken for granted. Due to the impact of social media and modifications, love is thrown around like a doll these days. Being in love is difficult when you haven’t even met someone because you met on snapchat. Young adults are so judgemental when they see a happy couple in public, holding hands, minding their own business. Love wasn’t created as something individuals should be scared of showing for the fear of being judged, it was made to be like it used to be, fragile and safe. A person knows when they have found the “one” and they know if it’s real love. Those three little words should be saved for a special time, not an instagram comment after two weeks of dating. Finding Love’s deep, true, meaning takes patience and time. The ones who wait, find the true meaning. Values have changed so much. People are so caught up in the fact that their boyfriend won’t respond in ten seconds flat that they end relationships over stupid things.
