As humans, we claim to love a variety of different things from materialistic items to people. From a partner, to a family member, to even animals, we use this term to describe it all. The definition of love is, “an intense feeling of deep affection,” and although it is valid in some circumstances, others the term doesn’t accurately describe the feelings we encounter. (www.merriam-webster.com) Love doesn’t have one specific definition, but rather a variety of definitions depending on the circumstances and the subject. Love is not only a feeling of deep affection or admiration, but it also shows you deeply care for someone or something. Love can be used in a situation of a couple or young love. I can personally express my sensation with young love, as I am currently experiencing it in a long-term relationship. This definition of love is accurate to the dictionary definition, but slightly different as well. In my relationship, I do experience a feeling of deep affection for my partner, but I also experience my own definition of love, a feeling of deep care. When you say “I love you,” to your mother, you are not saying the phrase because you have extreme affection towards her, but rather, you say it because you are showing that you care about her. This is unconditional love, because no matter what, you will always love your mother. You will always care about her, no matter what happens between the two of you. Siblings are similar in the sense of unconditional love. Your siblings love you, and would love you no matter the circumstance. If you were to get into a verbal disagreement, or make a mistake in your relationship, they would eventually forgive you because of their commitment as a family
