Many people believe that love is just feeling, but it is so much more than that, it is deeper inside us and can consume us whole and make us do things we normally would not do. Love is the beautiful connection between people that no one can break, the bond that sets two people aprt from the rest of the world. Whether it be a friend you love or a significant other, anyone can feel love. Everyone experiences love differently and has a different definition of what they think love is. To a five-year old, love could be taking a hot bath, your mom, or sharing your food. Love is trusting someone even after everyone else betrayed you and gave you a reason to not trust. It is telling them all your deep secrets that you have kept bundled up inside. When there is a problem it is being able to talk about it in a mature manor. It is trusting someone to hold your heart in their hands and not crushing it.
Love is being able to be yourself without hiding the parts of yourself that may be embarrassing. It is being able to laugh and joke with each other. It is dancing around the room like idiots at two in the morning, laughing until your stomach hurts and you are crying. It is growing with someone into the people you want to become. Pushing them to do better and go far in life with whatever they may want to do.
Love is respect. Respecting yourself and others has a lot to do with love. It is the little acts that show you care about the person. Love is not using a person for your own benefit or putting the other person down to make yourself feel better. It is being selfless and putting the other person first, but also making sure you are still happy. It is not holding them back and telling them they cannot do something. Instead it is pushing them to do what may seem is impossible and the proud feeling of when they do accomplish
