For example:” No Justice” was by far my favorite and most difficult to write about. I like to share my past regardless good or bad. The struggles I still have on writing is keeping a smooth transition from one part of the subject to the next. I’m also not the best with using punctuation the way it is needed. This class has taught me many things, but my favorite has to be the way we look at papers from here on out.
On the first major project, which was the email assignment, I did not add enough content which caused me to get a lower grade than I wanted. After seeing my grade on that assignment, I worked harder on processing my thoughts and I saw an improvement as the quarter went on. After reading the textbook I have also seen an improvement in my formatting and use of font, white space, and headings. What I have learned Throughout this quarter I have learned many new skills that I will continue to use in the future. Some skills that I learned to include:
District 12: the poorest of the 12 districts in the country of Panem and located on the border next to the wild forest. Citizens stand in the seam on the dirt rubble floor powered with dust from the mines. Puffy clouds of smoke dance through the air in a sea of grey. An army of coal miners crowd the streets every morning and march down the hill on their way to work putting on a strong front, but are filled with sorrow as they deepen further down into the earth. A woman struggles as she slowly slogs along carrying heavy buckets of water that weigh her down.
The tone of my writing has definitely changed over my years of being a writer. Although reading has always been my strong subject, I’ve come to love writing. I would describe my standard tone as a mix of using figurative language techniques such as imagery and having a sort of sarcastic diction. I love using figurative language techniques such as imagery because I feel like it makes reading more vivid to the reader. I like to ready books by authors that use imagery because it makes the book like a movie in my mind.
If I were asked by my boss, family member or friend what I have learned in school thus far, I would tell them that I have learned how to become an author, writing snob, and a self- proclaimed avid reader. All of these traits have enabled me to become a successful student and better professional. Before coming to Bethel University, I felt I had great writing skills as I wrote company policies, job descriptions and other Human Resources related materials every day. However, I now feel that my writing skills are average and can definitely be improved upon.
Process Narrative What I intended for the essay to have on the reader is to inform and entertain the what is stated on the essay. I like to give the two sides of coin when I talk about a certain subject. I want the reader not just only see the one side that I might agree on but also another take on it to see if the reader might differ from from opinion. The purpose for that is to make the audience think a little for themselves on their own and make them wonder about the topic and what it really is. My decisions into making a draft for this essay wasn’t all the great.
PART A: My writing process and the process described by the authors are the same in many ways. Just like the book I carefully read the assignment to make sure I understand what I’m supposed to do. Then I try to come up with a topic that I want to write about. I also like to brainstorm ideas and from there I start writing.
I got an A on paper four, and I think it is because I did the most prewriting for it. Having the research already done and having a draft to look at saved me a lot of work in the end. If these things
Writing process is difficult to realize since it requires a lot of skills and knowledge. Definitely, not many of us can start writhing right away without having any problems such as grammar, vocabulary or organization. However, a person can become a better writer if he or she will practice writing every day and will pay attention to his writing problems. To become a good writer, I have to improve my grammar, follow specific steps in writing process, and avoid using similar transitional words. Grammar is the number one problem in the writing process and causes me a lot of issues.
Super Natural Chapter 1 Well there I was face to face with what has been chasing me the entire time. No sleep for five days now I would never had imagined something like this happening to me. But before I can tell you anything going on right now I must give you some background. So my name is Henry James.
The writing process is something everybody does whether or not they know they do it. Everyone 's writing process is different. Now let me tell you about my writing process. The first step to the writing process is to analyze the question.
There are just so many ways to jumpstart your essay if you seem to be at a
Heim, This semester has shown me the importance of happiness and communication through the written, oral, visual, and electronic aspects. I feel Like I have progressed in my writing, but I still have a lot to work on with organizing and delivering the writing. Improving on these topics in class has helped me feel more comfortable when writing and showing those writings. In the oral aspect I have a lot of work to do. In both of my oral presentations I felt very nervous and quiet, this can always be improved with more practice.
As I was reading my essay to a colleague, once again I felt the sudden familiar rush of shame coming over me. For the longest time speaking English to or around my classmates has been making me feel uneasy and by now it has become something to be expected. Consistency rather than contigency. Ever since I was in elementary school I would keep quiet during English class so as not to attract the attention of the teacher and run the risk of having to say something. The act of reading my writing aloud to a colleague didn’t particularly change my opinion or feelings about it, but that could be due to the fact that over time I have learned to distance myself from what I am reading, as if it were someone else performing the act of reciting the text,
I need to improve on my word usage, I could start using bigger words more often. I can also improve on paper quality, yes I have gotten all “A’s and B’s” but I need to start going into more detail. Three
