Song Analysis of What do I know with Connections to The Diary of Anne Frank Children have intuition regarding what is going on around them. What do I know by Ed Sheeran connects to The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett and explores the theme of child innocence and intuition. The title of the song What do I know represents child innocence, this line is repeated 6 times in the song, during the chorus. Anne, being only 13, is still seen as a child as she has recently exited the pre-teen stage. The verse of the song is “The revolution's coming, it's a minute away I saw people marching in the streets today, you know we are made up of love and hate, but both of them are balanced on a razor blade”.
