To be more in detail, how do the writer as a dance teacher can support and implement the discipline policy in her classroom on a daily basis? In line with the school discipline policy, the writer have learn to play her role professionally as stated in the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) (See Appendix 2) by being patient and understand the students’ needs during their learning process. As a teacher, before the writer proceed with a concern letter for the student’s misbehaviour action, the writer should be an active listener. Discipline policy which acts as main guideline has been around for ages in every single school. This has resulted into implementation of discipline policies in schools to provide teachers, staffs as well as parents with the guideline in educating students’ behaviour form young age. The policy are also being revaluated over years due to ensure conducive safe environment for the members in the school. For instance, the goals, violation and the consequences of the discipline policy within the school context is clearly stated in the School A’s discipline policy for the whole school community to refer to. In order for the policy to be fully effective, all the school members including the writer must support the policy by ensuring the policy is implemented in a proper way. Similar to all the schools, discipline policy in School A has its own advantages and disadvantages. This is the cause that it is a must for all the school to revise their discipline policy frequently so that necessary changes could be made to the policy. The writer as a teacher and a member of the school need to be responsible and play her role professionally by implementing the policy during her teaching and non-teaching period in the school. As a teacher the writer has an advantage where she can support and implement the policy in many ways especially through essential agreement, behaviour chart in class and the concern letter system. Finally, as a member of this school the writer needs to be ready to face any challenges that may arise when completing her responsibility as a teacher in implementing the discipline policy in the school.
