On the 16th June 2015, Donald J Trump, the real estate mogul and reality television celebrity, announced that he would seek the Republican presidential nomination. According to Trump, the United States is no longer a wealthy country and is facing huge economic problems. Donald Trump promises that if he is elected president he will “make America great again”. The plan that he laid out focuses on building up the military, taking care of veterans, immigration reform, replacing and repealing Obamacare and supposedly defeating the terrorist group ISIS. Many Americans along with the rest of the world appear to believe that the country’s economy is collapsing, and a Trump presidency would help strengthen the economy. • VOTERS WHO ARE FOR TRUMP

 Education

From voting poll statistics, it has been established that a majority of Trump supporters lack an adequate education. This may lead to uneducated decisions being made when people decide who to vote for.

 Daily experiences

Some individuals may have negative biases towards certain groups of people, due to bad experiences. For example, if an individual was robbed by a Mexican or felt like there job was jeopardized due to an increase of Mexican population in the US, they would the support Trumps objectives.

 Social Status

There are many rich people in the United States who may look up to Donald Trump for being a great and powerful entrepreneur. They might see him as a role model in this respect and this positive perception of him may roll-over and distort their political views.
