Donald Trump argued that in order to improve the U.S. economy, the United States must force companies to stay in the nation and lower corporate taxes by over 10%. Hilary Clinton, on the contrary, stated that it would be more beneficial to the economy of the U.S. to raise taxes on the upper class, invest in the middle class, and increase spending in clean energy and infrastructure. Soon to be President of the United States, Donald Trump, has been appointing members to his cabinet. Many people believe he has not been making the best choices on these decisions. Many of his future members are not on the same page as most American citizens. The EPA Administrator's job is to enforce the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts along with many other environmental statutes.
Our current President is a big problem in the world right now. He lacks empathy, and is a serious threat to our Nation and to the world. The only way that this can be solved, is for him to be impeached. President Donald Trump has shown nothing but controversy, shock, and disappointment to America and its’ people. From stating that Nazis are “fine people”, to consistently spewing hate and negativity from his Twitter account, he has only proven that he is unfit for office.
During perilous times, do we throw in the towel, and give up on democracy, or do we fight against the antithesis of a malignant maniac who is uniquely unqualified to lead the free world? With much debate over Donald Trump's sexual escapades and according to some, unwanted touching, sexual assault, we must not forget aside from his temperately unfit design; Trump is a strongman who has no desire to listen to those around him. Moreover, even if he does listen to those around him, Trump surrounds himself with arrogant, inept projecting swift boatmen to destroy anyone who makes genuine charges against him. For example, the women coming forward claiming Trump, sexually, assaulted them. A swift-boater uses the worst characteristic about themselves and projects it to their opponents.
The most obvious being, America is not great today. Our countries president is deemed the most powerful man in the world, our military is unprecedented and our technological advances are second to none – we are the world superpower, it does not get much more “great” than that as a nation. Every country, especially ones the size of ours, has flaws; a perfect country is impossible. If Trump is preaching that we need to make America great again, is that just proving his lack of judgment? In my paper, I will analyse Donald Trump’s political activities before and after the election to get an objective viewpoint of America’s President. We’ll start off with the history of Trump, both personal and political, to see whether there was some sort of significant development over the years indicating a tendency towards ‘good or evil’. Next, we will take a look at what Donald Trump promised to do – the wall, lowering taxes and repealing Obamacare to name a few – and evaluate if he managed to keep his election pledges. This success rate is a major factor in definitively assessing Trump’s influence on America.
