At approximately 2143 Shift Supervisor Justin Riddle responded to a Code Red in the Central Services building. Upon arrival Riddle met with a Casper Police officer and began a floor by floor search. The problem was found on the first floor in the area commonly called the dock. The sprinkler sytem had malfunctioned and had flooded the area upon arrival. Shortly thereafter Fire Department arrived.
On Friday July 29,2016, at approximately 2:30 pm, Security Counselor Patrick Johnson of the inspire Nola Charter School Association Security Department, currently assigned to Edna Karr High School , Located at 3332 Huntlee Dr, in new Orleans Louisiana, 70131,had an occasion to investigate the misplacement of a laptop cart containing multiple laptops. S/C Johnson offers the following report. On Friday July 29,2016 at approximately 12:00pm Mr. Chris Reed a teacher at Edna Karr High school discovered a cart containing multiple laptops next to the trash dumpster. Mr. Reed brought the cart back into the school and reported his findings to head of school Harold Clay.
On July 29, 2003 Detective Jason Leavitt was a part of a decoy operation with an undercover arrest team ; he was dressed on black jeans, a dirty short- sleeved flannel shirt on top of a dirty-t shirt, and a baseball cap to apart as a drunk homeless man . Detective Leavitt carried Twenty one-dollar bills in his breast pocket, to attract a thief. Leavitt was on the block of 200 Main St across from the Greyhound station. The Appellant Richard Miller approached Detective Leavitt on this very street to ask him for money. On October 3, 1974, at around 10:45 pm, Elton Hymon and Leslie Wright of the Memphis Police Department were responding to a “prowler on the inside” call. They made the scene and observed a woman in the house next to the intended home of the call. She was standing on her front porch pointing at the house. She advised that she had heard glass breaking and someone was breaking into the house next door. As Wright showed both officers on the scene on his radio to dispatch, Hymon went to the rear of the house.
On December 23, 1981, Thomas Sophonow, a Canadian man, was wrongfully accused of murder. 16 year old Barbara Stoppel was ruthlessly killed at the washroom of her workplace. Unfortunately, eyewitnesses mistakenly chose Mr. Sophonow as being the murderer. Eye witnesses stated that a man, whose appearance was very similar to that of Thomas Sophonow, locked the door and made his way to the back of the shop where he was presumed to have strangled Barbara Stoppel to death. Furthermore, while Thomas Sophonow was in custody, he showed an undercover officer a door locking technique.
Brief Arizona v. Hicks 480 U.S. 321 (1987) Facts: A bullet was fired through the floor of Hick’s apartment on April 18th, 1987. The bullet injured a man in the apartment below Hick’s apartment. Police officers arrived at Hick’s apartment to investigate the shooting. Upon investigating, the police officers seized 3 weapons and a stocking mask. Also, while investigating, one of the police officers noticed expensive stereo equipment.
Dominic T. Hicks, DOB 05/01/77 is a known Registered Sex Offender that lives in Unit 6 and was a possible match to the suspect description given by the victim. On 06/24/15, I conducted registered sex offender address verification checks and contacted Hicks at 109 Lake St. S. #6 which is his registered address. At about 0900 hours, Cpl. Crocker and Detective Lansing contacted Wehrman at the hospital.
This is a case study about a young man by the name of Korey Wise who was wrongly incarcerated in the Central Park Jogger case of 1989. Due to being the age of sixteen he was the only one out of the five boys wrongly accused to be sent to an adult prison. In this prison Korey was victim to many forms of abuse, physical and mental to name a few. He was found guilty despite the lack of evidence. None of the DNA samples or Semen matched up with Korey.
A few days later, his friend got worried and notified the police about his disappearance. When they got to his residence, the doors were locked and bolted. A policeman had to climb in through a first–floor window to get inside. It was discovered that the room was nailed shut from the inside. The killer must have exited through the skylight.
Case Analysis #1: Robbery of Rural Home Deputies respond to a 911 call to the 7200 Block of state route 163 Sunday, January 15th at ten p.m. The crime reported was an armed robbery in a rural area. The stolen goods included several pieces of jewelry, gold coins, and cash missing from the victim’s safe. The victims included a husband and wife of the residence. The suspects were allegedly two white males.
Thursday, September 2nd, 2016 at approximately 10:21 a.m., I Detective L. Donegain obtained a DNA Search Warrant for Kenneth Shaw. I also obtained additional Warrants on Kenneth Shaw for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Amos Shaw for Possession of Cocaine. The Possession of Firearm by Felon was for the 12guage Shotgun which was seized from Kenneth Shaw’s apartment on Southwood Drive. The Cocaine charge for Amos Shaw was for the cocaine seized from the driver’s side door of the vehicle that he drove to the Hospital on the night of the shooting.
Once inside of the business, the suspect entered the mailbox area. I could see that there was a gate that was closed, which separated the mailbox area from the main office. I saw there were approximately 10-12 packages left on the ground in the mailbox area. The suspect placed his hood over his head and began walking around the mailbox area. The suspect approached several packages and used his pocket knife to open them.
On October 21st, 2015, at or about 0120 hours, I was dispatched to 1516 Funston street, Hollywood Florida in reference to a delayed residential burglary. Upon arrival, I made contact with Steve Gow, herein after referred to as the victim. The victim, stated the following; On the above date, at or about 0100 hours, the victim had returned back to his residence when he discovered his front door(facing north) was completely open. Upon a further examination of his door, he also noted that the door jamb was damaged.
