Introduction There are various aspects of males and females that separate the two in the eyes of science and society, but in the end, we are only separated by a single chromosome. So, how much difference can a single chromosome cause? Down Syndrome is caused by a single extra chromosome (NDSS, 2017), so that is an example of the impact of chromosomes. While the differences between someone with Down Syndrome and a person with the correct amount of chromosomes are not as severe as those found between men and women, variations between men and women are undeniably present. There are differences in basic anatomy, brain cognition, and function, and hormone levels and response; all of which make males and female unique. There are also factors …show more content…

Anatomy
One of the things that are variant between men and women is the unique anatomy of both kinds of bodies. This is a very common occurrence in nature, with countless examples of across the animal kingdom. Sometimes males and females have blaringly obliviously differences, while others are practically impossible to tell apart. Variance between the appearance, structure, and function of the bodies of the males and females of a species is called sexual dimorphism (Steven C Burrell, ETAL, 2017). Humans are no exception to this. Human sexual dimorphism is not as prominent as it is in other species, such as pheasants, deer, certain apes, etc. But anatomical differences in humans are undeniably present, many of which are often easy to see. A few examples of this is how men tend to be taller with a higher center of mass, have a tendency to have more muscle mass, and have a larger cranial volume. Women tend to be smaller, typically have more energy stored as fat, have a lower center of mass, and more natural
