First and foremost, I understand demonstrating leadership skills in my life, work and school is valuable training for a career in the building and construction industry. I knew that my college choice was one of the most important life decisions I would ever make. Drury University is my training ground for self-discovery, building knowledge, leadership training and unlocking future opportunities. Here, I am able to juggle being an active student and the crazy studio culture needed to excel academically. The college has offered me experiential activities that enrich my collegiate experience by placing the emphasis on the cornerstones of my life: academics, leadership, volunteer service and personal growth. My freshman year, I made the wise decision to participate in the Leadership Development Program (LDT.) Participating has put me in many notable roles in campus leadership and helped me gain entrance to much sought after leadership and program slots including: Drury Enactus, Alternative Spring Break, Summit Park Residential Leadership Community, Drury Student Senator, President’s Roundtable, and Freshman Orientation Leader.
