Early Childhood Teacher (Pre-K to 3)
Mission Statement
The mission of Reagan Elementary School is to provide a high quality and hands-on education in a safe environment for all students.
Education
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university. As well as, annual proof of 10 hours of completed CEU courses or other qualified workshops or lectures.
Functions of this Position
Provide a variety of teaching practices and strategies for students as needed
Develop an effective, age appropriate curriculum that agrees with state standards
Create and uphold a consistent form of classroom management
Be able to create positive relationships with adults and children, and create a positive outlook on the school community and local community
Further your own eduction and stay up to date on issues, trends, and legislation in the early education field
Thoroughly evaluate each student on their progress throughout the school year
Have flexibility with scheduled classroom time, as well as allotted planning time
Be able to complete any assigned tasks by a certain deadline
Proficiency in Office Software and incorporate the use of technology in the classroom

Some students may have differing needs that require individualized tools or activities to assist in their learning. Also, creating a safe environment is a requirement for this position. This pertains to safety and nutrition, and hygiene guidelines should be established in the classroom. As well as, physical and emotional safety.
