English 1010 Assignments Boost My Reading and Writing Skills
As I reflect on English 1010, I can confidently state that this course has been a truly life changing experience for me. This is because, thanks to the five assignments of Literacy Narrative, Non-Academic Discourse, Rhetorical Analysis, Genre Experiment 1, and Genre Experiment 2, I have been able to greatly improve my reading and writing skills. In this essay, I reflect on the Literacy Narrative, Non-Academic Discourse, Rhetorical Analysis, Genre Experiment 1, and Genre Experiment 2 assignments in terms of how they have prompted me to utilize and enhance my reading and writing competences.
While executing the Literacy Narrative assignment, I employed and enhanced my reading and writing skills by carefully studying the instructor’s guidelines and authoring a readable paper. Upon receiving the instructor’s instructions, I read the same to have an overall idea of the subject. I then reread the guidelines, taking note of critical elements. Regarding reading skills, I carefully studied the instructor’s instructions to properly understand the topic and expected paper. I then embarked on the task of creating a paper that observes established rules of grammar and is understandable. I integrated certain terminologies that are specific to the field of skydiving. To ensure that the instructor understands these terminologies, I carefully placed these terms within sentences and phrases to make the meaning obvious. In this way, the Non-Academic Discourse assignment enabled me to use and improve my reading and writing
