Looking back to when I first started my English 1101 class, I have truly grown tremendously as a writer. I came out of high school not knowing a lot about writing because, I never had an English teacher we always just had substitute teachers. Luckily, the texts that were required for English 1101 helped me so much.
The first assignment we had to do was to write about ourselves as writers and tell our professor what we wanted to work on. I said that I needed to work on my editing, grammar, and mechanics. Therefore, that was what I was working on throughout my English 1101 class.
So throughout my journey in English 1101 I think that my editing has improved tremendously because of all of the drafts that we had to do, this made me actually take the time an actually edit. This was one of my biggest improvements in English 1101, I actually learned how to spot and fix them in my paper. This is really my biggest accomplishment in all of my years of writing. At first I could not even point out a fragment by myself I actually needed someone to tell me where each one of them were located at now, I do not need anyone to help me find them I know how to look for fragments by myself and I know how to fix them. I always thought it was so complicated to fix a fragment and it use to drive me crazy. I never understood them at all until Dr.Sanford explained to me what they actually are and how easy they are to spot and fix. You can actually tell throughout my papers when I started to improve on my fragments. The first place I spotted my improvement was on my concept paper that is when I finally got an understanding of what a fragment is and how to fix them. I am so relieved that I can finally fix them by myself it feels like a weight was lifted off my
