During one’s final year of high school, their life starts to change dramatically. Why is that? Usually when someone who is first about to graduate from high school starts to figure themselves out as a human being. For instance, one begins to view the world in reality of how others are able to get through their day and also survive on a daily basis. These people once had to be in their shoes, just that only happened during when they were beginning to graduate from high school and start their own life. When one now is starting to transition from high school to a new life adventure, they accordingly have a plan on what are their self interests are and also narrow down their list of possible colleges they wish to attend. Community colleges are two-year schools that provide affordable postsecondary education as a pathway to a four-year degree. At community colleges, there is a lot to consider. One way to consider is the affordability. Being that a community college is affordable means that the cost will be easier to pay towards and students are a less likely to drop out. Usually when the cost is brought up, most post-high school graduates file for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which allows the student if they are accepted to be granted to borrow money to pursue further education. Another way to consider is the smaller class sizes. By having smaller class sizes allows a student to have the opportunity to learn from their peers. When students are participating and answering the questions, it allows others to attain more knowledge which helps benefit them throughout the class. One final way to consider is the pathway to potentially earn a four-year degree. By being at a community college, students can easily transfer between a community college and a four-year college or university and save tremendous amounts of money in the process rather than directly attending at a four-year
