“No day shall erase you from the memory of time.” This quote is written on the wall of the 9/11 Memorial in New York City. On September 11, 2001. Nineteen militants of al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners sending two of the planes into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon, and one crashing into a field outside Pennsylvania. Killing over 3,000 people, this day will never be forgotten(History 2017). Lots of conspiracy theories surfaced shortly after the attacks leaving thousands of people puzzled. This day in history was an eye opening experience worldwide and made everyone realize just what us as people are capable, but overall nothing was changed much. There was terrorism before it happened and there still is.

At around 8:45 a.m. the first plane carrying close to 767 passengers as well as 20,000 pounds of jet fuel crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. The plane hit the 110-story building at around the 80th floor leaving a large, gaping hole instantly killing hundreds and trapping hundreds more in the higher floors. As soon as this happened. The evacuation of both towers was in full swing as television broadcasters captured this moment that appeared as a freak accident at the time. Close to 3,000 people died in the World Trade Center and its vicinity and almost 10,000 others were treated for injuries, many severe.
