Did you know? “Research has linked gratitude with an increase in self-esteem, resiliency and overall life satisfaction.”1 You might think seventh graders can’t do much to improve the world. Really though, it is easy. Seventh graders can help the world by being thankful for everything around them, rather than complaining for every small thing they should be thankful for. If seventh graders practice gratitude, they can improve their, and other's, happiness levels. So many people these days are unhappy, only 33% of Americans surveyed said they were happy.2 If they tried being more thankful for everything around them, it would have been likely that many more would be much happier. This is a real problem, but it’s a real problem that you can fix just by being grateful.
It is proven that being thankful can improve your happiness, as well as your overall health. Being thankful can be that solution you’ve been striving for to become happy again. It can make your day better, along with everyone else’s. An article on the Harvard Health website states
