Working as a support worker or domestic staff you must be qualified and trained. When taking part in this profession you must be punctual to reliable. Reliable to take responsibilities for yourself and others. You must have the ability to work with other and communicate with one another and by this you must have the practical skills such as communication. When working in these profession you must be have qualifications such as GCSE which are vital in majority professions and also a degree, this will therefore allow you to understand your job role and give you an insight idea when it comes to dietary and safe food preparation. You must also have a health and safety certificate and first aid certificate. When working in this profession you should have personal attributes such as ability to gain knowledge and skills, you must be initiative and confidence in the workforce. Overarching organisations have roles and responsibilities that play a huge role in their organisation allowing them to achieve great care for their service users. Staff must be adequately trained and competent at work. They must provide a workforce development e.g. raising standards, improving experiences of services, providing a qualified and competent workforce and carrying out inspection and reporting and developing and promoting good practice. They must follow the legislation and regulation acts such as The disability Act, Health and Safety at Work Act.
