America is one of the fattest nations in the world. Take a walk down your street, Fast food chains and obese people are on every street corner. A huge factor for obesity is High amounts of stress, television and video games. People are lazy and not active.More than two-thirds (68.8 percent) of adults are considered to be overweight or obese and 18% of children in the United states are obese as well. What is the united states doing to do to bring these numbers down? Nothing!
Over the past 40 years, there has been over 160,000 fast-food restaurants in the United States. These restaurants serve more than 50 million people per day and make over $65 million in sales a year. These restaurants include McDonald's, Jack in the Box, and Wendy’s. There food is extremely unhealthy, it is pre cooked, frozen, and full of preservatives and fat, they are then thawed out in hot oil or on greasy grills. Americans have become lazy. One of our favorite pastimes is sitting in front of the television and playing video games. There are video game systems like The Will or Xbox Kinect, that get you up off the couch and have you move around but teens don't like the games they're boring. Parents need to make their kids spend some time outside, hell when i was little i didn't have video games I was told go play out side, come home when the street light turn on.Parents need to take more responsibility as well.Parents and young adults need to go out and enjoy nature and outdoor activities near their homes. They need to regulate how much time their children spend watching TV and playing video games and help their kids find outside activities they can enjoy like basketball and football. Find things to do as a family, get everyone involved. With simple easy changes, obesity in children will definitely
