Supporting a Creationist Worldview with Science

Scientific evidence is consistent with the belief that the physical universe was designed by God.

After researching this topic, I was interested to find just how much supportive evidence there is for creation and its beliefs. There is a misconception that the Bible is old, dated, and couldn’t have enough solid evidence to support the idea that a God of ancient times could have spoken the world as we know it into existence. One would think that modern science and research would be able to yield a much more sensible, concrete formula for the origin of life, and certainly one that makes more sense than an invisible God in heaven forming it from nothing. This is however, as I mentioned previously, a misconception …show more content…

One of the major things that secular scientists do not want to accept is that there could be intelligent design. They want to hold to evolution’s core beliefs that the universe was formed from a hot, small, and dense superforce which eventually expanded and gave way to atoms and particles which over time formed the galaxies, planets, and human life. This theory, commonly referred to as the Big Bang Theory, states that the universe and life as we know it could have formed through random chance and an explosion. While this idea seems logically impossible, (after all, when have you ever heard of an explosion creating anything other than chaos) it seems even more illogical when you take a look at just a few of the things in our universe that are clearly not random or chaotic. For example, the average human heart beats between 60 and 100 times per minute. This statistic is the same across the board for all people and only varies due to health reasons or the age of the person. (newborns and toddler’s hearts beat slightly faster at about 70-110 beats per minute) If we were merely the product of random chance, it would be hard to find that kind of order and uniformity throughout an entire
