One of the most important parts of written work is a title. The title is the first thing that a reader looks at and the title is what draws them in or pushes them away. Allison’s title of her article,”Two years are better than four,” gives the reader a clear explanation of what the article is about. The word “better” shows how the argument that is
Overall, all the articles were written in third person and therefore, didn’t have any personal insight on the issue and two of the three articles were written with a formal
In my opinion, Guezlo’s essay was stronger purely because he answered so many questions from the opposition. He used facts and kept out a bias tone in his essay and I feel that Harding’s essay lacked many facts and citations that could’ve made his argument stronger. From the beginning of Guezlo’s essay to the end, he makes his points clear and uses rational thinking to support his thesis, whereas Harding could have touched on subjects more, and used too much emotional bias to make his case. In conclusion, I would argue that Guezlo’s essay was stronger and he did a better job supporting his thesis.
These two pieces have the same idea but use different methods to end with the same result. This is because the audiences of the two essays are
Reflection The two paragraphs are a rhetorical analysis of the article about the Wolf Warriors II chose from Chinese daily online newspaper. The biggest difference between the old paragraph and the new paragraph is that the writing style is different. The old paragraph used more academic style, and I stood in a neutral objective position. The new paragraph used more informal style-speech, and I only need to stand in my position.
Put your essay here. I have copied the graphic organizer I used onto page 2. You don’t have to use it, but you can if it helps you. HERE are the instructions and examples I showed in class. Did you know that Julio Cortazar the author of “House Taken Over” spent a little bit of time in prison for opposing the government of Juan Peron?
My two essays I chose to compare and contrast are the Literary Analysis of When I Was Puerto Rican and Analyzing Foreshadowing in Desiree ’s Baby essays both done by analyzing others work which are similar in the way that I broke down the two essays apart and examined them to their truest meaning. In When I Was Puerto Rican I noticed that my work reflected how unadvanced of a writer I was during the beginning of the year and displayed how I clearly lacked greatly in depth and clarification of what I was trying to state. At times during the essay I would stray away from the main topic and lose concentration of my focal point or thesis statement.
Name: Estella #28 March 15, 2023 Theme-Based Literary Essay Sometimes in life, you work hard for something you want while not realizing it because it is such a big passion of yours. In the story “Stray” by Cynthia Rylant, Doris tries very hard to convince her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lacey, to keep the dog. In my essay, I will demonstrate how Doris is trying to convince her parents to keep the pup. She shows this by three reasons: helping the dog, trying to convince her parents to adopt it, and accepting the responsibilities that come with adoption.
In Essay One, my thoughts are more organized and less sloppy. My writing ability is nowhere near where I would like it to be, but it is a step closer. In the First-Week Essay, I had incomplete thoughts and I did not know how to properly set up an essay. For example, I did not write a conclusion because I did not think of it as a necessary component.

In my argument essay, I tried to voice a strong opinion, but fell short. Although our process analysis essays and cover letters haven’t been graded yet, I believe that I portrayed a more confident tone and style in those than I did in my argument essay. While writing those particular essays, I focused more on meeting the requirements sufficiently and voicing my opinion effectively. I believe that gaining this kind of insight on essay-writing is a reflection of improvement in my writing skills and overall
The rest of the essay is dedicated to proving these points therefore verifying that this is in fact the thesis statement and the concept of the essay. Next is the body of the essay, the part that proves the aforementioned points and truly presents the author’s point of view. While these paragraphs do match the order mentioned in the writer’s thesis statement, I feel that the order was not the most effective. My reasoning for this is that I do not feel that the first paragraph chosen was the writer’s strongest one, but rather the second paragraph was. This is because the second paragraph uses many good techniques, such as transition words, that allow the paragraph to flow more smoothly.

While these paragraphs effectively match the order mentioned in the writer’s thesis statement, I feel that the order was not the most effective. My reasoning for this is that I do not feel that the first paragraph chosen was the writer’s strongest one, but rather the second paragraph was. This is due to the fact that the second paragraph uses plenty of smart techniques, such as transition words, that allow the paragraph to flow more smoothly. Moreover, in this paragraph the author’s idea’s appear to be more fully developed, being able to give more elaborate and understanding examples than in the first paragraph.
This essay needed a lot of research before I even started to write the paper, which is similar to all the practice I put into perfecting my accuracy with my six iron. Because it required so much research before I even wrote the paper, the social commentary essay took the longest to write; comparatively, the time it took to perfect my six iron was proportional to the time it took to write this essay. Furthermore, my six iron started off as one of my least favorite club, but as time grew, it became on of my favorite, reliable clubs just like the social commentary
Text B is short but effective. There is not much text which strengthens the effect of the message. Both writers use structure to support the purpose, audience and genre, but do this in an entirely different
