Utilitarianism and Deontological Scientist defined utilitarian ethical system measures the ethics of a specific action based on the consequences of the action, however, deontological ethical system determines the ethics of an action caused from individual’s responsibility or duty (Moreland, 2016). Although crime can a violation of public duty, it can also be considered to be a tort. For example, an individual that was assaulted and easily bring criminal charges to the suspect as well as suing for damages under the tort law. Tort Law is considered to be a valuable tool on protecting privacy because a victim can easily claim damages to the plaintiff as long as there were damages, breach of duty, causation, which results in injury (Volokh, 2014). Duty and mission brings police officers interact with all stages of civilization. Citizens can be injured by a police officer in variety ways. For example, injuries can lead to unreasonable arrests, assault and battery, and false arrest can be well-defined as tort. United State Code 42, Section 1983, helped citizens with their constitutional rights such as Monroe versus Pape. For example, Monroe versus Pape exemplify on how the Monroe family was easily violated on their rights by not allowing to make any telephone calls or contact a lawyer during an interrogation (Monroe v.
