To prepare for my speech, I chose a topic that is relatable to myself and the audience, which is seasonal allergies. My original plan was to present the behind the scenes of horror movies, but I had to change it since I could not find enough sources to support it. I started practicing in small parts instead of the whole speech. I meditated before each practice session, in order to prevent my hands from shaking. This strategy was different from my first speech because I was able to tackle my issue of my shaky hands, which is a sign of nervousness. The specific strengths that I saw in my presentation were that my voice was loud and clear and that I did not rush while speaking. I used a quote related to seasonal allergies so that the audience could recognize what the speech was about. I noticed that I expressed my attention getter somewhat slow and clear. I established credibility for the quote and used the name “Anonymous,” since the original author could not be found when I tried to search it up. While saying the quote, I made some eye-contact with the audience. I also established credibility when I mentioned the statistics of how many people, globally, suffer from allergies. I also described how seasonal allergies affects many people, including in the classroom so that the audience can relate to the topic. I used the word “us” instead of “you guys” so that I could be seen as trustable. My thesis was clear; I informed the audience about the factors, the symptoms, and the common treatments. My transitions were not completely smooth. They seemed abrupt when I started to orally change the points. I developed my ideas when I explained how the pollen gets inside our body through nose and mouth. I also added what actually happens in severe cases of allergies. I noticed that I made a few hand gestures but it seemed subtle. I looked confident while explaining my ideas in depth. However, when I began to orally cite my sources, I had some difficulty and had to look at my note cards. I included a logical closure, or a summary of the points that presented, which were the main factors of allergies, the symptoms, and the treatments. I concluded with a clincher, using the quote that I used as my attention
