Research shows that children can benefit from the right amount of screen time. If well regulated, parents can help build on their children’s language skills and coordination skills. Children learn so many things from the programs that they watch either no television or while paying with their video games. Most of the cartoons for instance are interactive and they give the baby the chance to learn new words and even skills. The children can also observe a repeat of what they learn in class thus ensuring that they master their language. Moreover, various activities take place on the screen and this makes the child pay attention to them and hence learn how to coordinate their eyes and also join and link up several things through the screen. Such children can hence better interact with their mates since they have learnt good social skills from the screen and even form close bonds. Usually, parents are expected to explain to their children the happenings on the program and the various meanings which the children may not understand. When faced with some inappropriate content, the like violence, the parent can hence educate their children on the dangers of engaging in fights with their peers and the repercussions that would follow. Such interactive sessions not only build up the children’s memory but it also allows them to develop good traits that enable then to form good relationships with their peers.
