Out of the four characteristics of National Honor Society, I felt the most important is, a character. I chose it because what Martin Luther King Jr. he “motivates his supporters not to judge individuals by their appearance, but rather by the substance of their character”. An individual character, ups and downs, can influence others to the nature of being incredible or losing confidence from attempting. Character distinguishes how your behavior shows the way you carry yourself every day and helps build fantastic relationships.
The National Honor Society is preeminent for recognizing students with imminent grades and honorable characters, I believe this organization makes a great impact in the community and helps in the overall betterment of the student as well. I would like to be assimilated in these community services to my school and to my community. I have heard how this club makes a person a better leader with a good character and discipline. I have been looking forward to this opportunity since the beginning of High School. To me, NHS’s four pillars are essential elements to being a member of this society.
The National Honor Society is an organization with many functions, not only within school, but also within the community. I see the National Honor Society and its members as outstanding students with exceptional accomplishments and recognitions, who have stood out from others in academic achievement, community service, and leadership. It functions to provide a distinction from other high school students for the work of those in the organization. All of its members come together to enhance the quality of our community and school as a whole. If I am selected to join this organization, I will contribute my intellect and problem-solving abilities to help the organization progress in whatever it is that it pursues.
The National Honor Society is an organization that enables high school students to help and improve their school and neighboring communities. It is an immense honor and privilege to be invited to be a member of this association, and it would be an even greater honor to actively participate and add to the existing society in ACST. Joining the National Honor Society would help me grow as a person and allow me to demonstrate the 4 pillars of NHS, in effect helping our school community and region in general. Leadership and service are both exhibited by all NHS members. This year, I have been starting to become both a silent and appointed leader in class.
The National Honor Society contains four qualities which encompasses it. These traits are scholarship, character, service, and leadership. These four pillars define the Honors Society and can also be used to portray myself. The quality of scholarship.
The National Honor Society (NHS) stands by such values as Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and character; it is these values that I strive to live by. I have received the opportunity to become a proud member of the NHS, and have been humbled by this chance. Throughout my high school career I try to be involved in anything I can help the school, from being a part of community service activities. Also, I have achieved my goal to work as hard as I possibly can to stand out among my peers. Even outside of school I have worked to uphold the values of club, and shall continue to do so if I chosen.
The National Honor Society consists of a reputable group of students that are involved in many other activities and hold themselves to the utmost standards. It is an honor to be apart of a wonderful collection of students that give their all. As all members of the NHS will attest, this organization makes their four pillars well-known and expects all students to work towards bettering themselves in those areas. Scholarship, service, leadership, and character are the pillars that the NHS built themselves upon.
The National Honor Society is built upon four founding principles: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. I have a high school life filled with dedication to these four principles on the Spiritual standpoint, the Familial level, the Community level and finally at the National level. Moreover, I did begin my dedication to these same four principles even before this starting with the Boy Scouts of America and this commitment will continue along with having a rich future when I reach my fullest potential. I firmly believe that to have academic excellence is giving your best effort to maintain not just having straight As and a high GPA at or close to the edge of attaining a 4.0, but to also have the skills that help you perform your very best in college and beyond. Joining National Honor Society would be an absolute pleasure. I would love to bring my communication skills, leadership, and service into this program. I consider myself to be hard-working young woman that will be the requirements to be in this group. Dedication, determination, and perseverance are only a few of the things I will bring in. The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization that is used to recognize high school students for their outstanding achievements, as well as guide them along the path to a successful future. As a new student to Quantico Middle/High School this year, I believe that I could be a great addition to the school’s National Honor Societies club. Being apart of this club would not only help built my college application in the future, but also teach me good social skills, teamwork capabilities, and leadership development. Both leadership and character contribute to a person’s qualification to join the National Honor Society. These qualities set the foundation for a good person in society and leads them down a successful road.
The National Honor Society is based off of four pillars; Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Scholarship is one of the most important pillars to me. Scholarship means not only doing well in school and getting good grades, but applying what I have learned and using it everyday. I know the importance of education and feel that I am a lifelong learner. I feel very fortunate to have been raised in a family where education is a priority.
The four pillars of National Honor Society have shaped me into an impactful leader during my time at Saydel High School. There have been many opportunities for me to give back to the Saydel community through extensive service projects. As a lifelong learner, I continue to seek new learning opportunities that will enrich the lives of others around me. I have made many profound impacts on Saydel students and the community during my time involved with National Honor Society. I have been fully committed to learning during my time in National Honor Society, always seeking new opportunities to better my knowledge.
Being one of the top 20 in my class with a GPA of 4.4, I take it as my duty to help my community. Not only do I strive to set an example for my fellow classmates of hard work and dedication, but I also try to further along those that are behind. For example, I tutor my intellectually handicapped neighbor in whatever subject he needs. It fills me with pride and joy to see him improve, knowing that I had an influence on that improvement. That pride and joy is something that I would love to continue to experience working with the National Honor Society to help better my community.
There are several different qualities that make up who I am as a person, but there are four that stand out when it comes to being a National Honor Society member. These include character, leadership, scholarship and service. To begin with, I feel that character is an important quality to possess. In school, I have never been written up for violating code or have served a school detention/suspension and I hope not to in the future.
What I see as the function of the National Honor Society is to encourage young adults like myself to participate more within their school and community. It allows students the ability to give and serve other people that have done so for them. This group will give many students an eye opening experience on volunteering for fellow citizens. If I were to be selected into the National Honor Society, I would contribute to the group by sharing ideas and giving useful feedback to the other students in the group. I would also provide personal experiences of certain voluntary services that I have completed, if needed.
